Ministry: Russian gold output rises 9.3% to 344 tns in 2019
MOSCOW, May 25 (PRIME) -- Russia’s gold output rose by 9.29% on the year to 343.54 tonnes in 2019, the Finance Ministry said on Monday citing the data on raw materials supplies to the refining plants.
Mined gold output rose by 8.22% to 286.05 tonnes and by-product gold output increased by 23.14% to 19 tonnes, while secondary gold production grew 11.31% to 38.49 tonnes.
Russia’s silver output decreased 11.05% to 996.17 tonnes in the year. Primary silver production fell 2.13% to 488.04 tonnes, while by-product silver output increased 9.02% to 338.5 tonnes, and secondary production of silver fell 45.44% to 169.59 tonnes.
